A TRIP to the celebrated 'Maifest' fair in Rinteln, Kendal's twin town in Germany, has been arranged.
The whole town is closed off for the huge event which features craft stalls, bands and amusements.
The trip by coach and ferry sets off on May 2, and returns on May 7.
Visitors would be hosted by families in Rinteln, or in hotels and guest houses if they preferred.
"It's just a jolly weekend, really," said Jim Quincey, chairman of the Kendal-Rinteln Association.
The Maifest trip is open to anybody.
To find out more contact Mr Quincey on 01539-722088.
Craftspeople from Made in Cumbria have also been invited to exhibit their wares at Maifest.
