QUEEN Elizabeth School is teaming up with one of the world's leading musical instrument makers offering a free introductory music lesson to budding keyboard players.
The project is a partnership between the Kirkby Lonsdale school and Yamaha, aimed at introducing as many people as possible to music-making.
The Yamaha Music School at QES will be open to the public during evening and weekends.
And the freebie is the first stage of a Play for Keeps course suitable for anyone aged nine and over.
QES head of music Peter Hooper said that by working with Yamaha the school intended to deliver the most enjoyable and up-to-date approach to learning to play a keyboard instrument.
He added: "The first free lesson is aimed at anybody who would like to play, and on Saturday, February 3, we will show visitors just how easy it is to get started."
Further details from the school on 01524-271275, between 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
