'COOKS better than an oven' is Lakeland Limited customer director Michelle Kershaw's view on the 'Remoska' Electric Cooker.
"Its simple and economical," says Michelle, who came across the Remoska thanks to a chance meeting with her Czechoslovakian friend Milena Grenfell-Baines in Prague.
"Roast chicken (crispy skin, flesh as soft as butter), succulent lamb chops with golden roasted potatoes and baked fish with a selection of Mediterranean vegetables," said Michelle.
"For those snacky moments at the weekend I've rustled up toasted sandwiches, baked potatoes, cooked an eight inch pizza from frozen as well as chips, and I've reheated a ready meal in its foil dish.
I've even baked a sponge cake in it."
Lakeland Limited has been given the exclusive UK rights to the Remoska which has been around since before the Second World War.
It was rescued in 1990 by two Czechs who scraped together all they had to buy the machinery.
This is the first time they have ever exported to the UK.
Each two-litre Remoska is individually made and tested by skilled workers in a small Czech factory; there's no production line.
The stainless steel lid which houses the 500 watt element does all the work, controlling the venting of steam developed during cooking.
You can see what's going on through the glass window.
It is clean to use, with virtually no cooking smells.
The bowl is also coated with Teflon Classic for easy release.
And because it is so compact, and can be used anywhere there's a 240V electricity supply - it is ideal for caravans and boats or any self-catering.
