A GRANT of £21,000 has been made available to children and teenagers in South Lakeland and the rest of the county to kick-start a fitness and healthy-living initiative.
The Right Fit project, a Glaxo Wellcome and Barnado's partnership, is funding the scheme, which will enable young people to plan and co-ordinate outdoor activities, such as camping.
Hosted by the Cumbria Association of Clubs for Young People, it is expected to involve up to 240 five to 15-year-olds, and will focus on healthy living and eating, fitness, health and safety.
For further information about how to get involved, contact Yvonne Probert on 017686 75085.
