'FIERY Fred' Trueman is speaking in the Lakes in August.
The former England and Yorkshire fast bowler will be the guest of Threlkeld Cricket Club for "An Evening with Fred Trueman" at the the Theatre at the Lake, Keswick on Sunday, August 5.
The club is fund-raising for a new sports pavilion and Trueman has agreed to help the cause.
Now aged 70, he was the first bowler to take 300 wickets and took 2,304 overall - them ost by any fast bowler in the history of the game.
A lively and entertaining evening is promised.
Trickets are priced at £9 and £12 and can be purchased by telephoning the Lake on 017687 74411.
