ONE of Kendal College's performing art successes is 16-year-old Sally Kemp, studying for a BND Drama.
She's been selected from 4,000 budding players nationwide to join the National Youth Theatre over the summer.
Only 180 were chosen.
And she will be working with the company in July and August in London, working on all aspects of theatre - culminating in a final presentation.
Sally has many strings to her bow.
She can sing, dance and act, and play violin.
She recently played the part of Louise in a Barrow Amateurs production of Carousel, and is on the look out for sponsorship to help her pay the £900 fees to join the NYT programme.
Meanwhile, another of this area's rising young and versatile performers has also been accepted for the NYT summer sojourn.
Lower sixth Windermere St Anne's student Georgina Stamp, 17, has already appeared at the London Palladium and performed a small part in TV's Hollyoaks.
Georgina (featured in Leisure on April 27) spent five years with the National Youth Ballet performing at Sadlers Wells, the Royal Albert Hall, plus television appearances.
