IF SALSA and Merengue sound like something you should eat, perhaps you should cha-cha-cha your way to Eden this weekend to get a dose of Latin fever
and brush up your Latino credentials.
With the fash-mag pack still going wild for the likes of J-lo, Gizelle and Ricky Martin you too can put a little South American sunshine in your life with a Salsa workshop followed up by a full-on Latin music experience.
St Andrew's rooms in Penrith may not be the obvious place to make a start but tomorrow (Saturday) two of the UK's top salsa instructors, who pride themselves on being able to teach anyone to dance Salsa, will take centre stage.
And for those of you who still think Salsa and Merengue sound like exotic food-stuffs there will be a traditional tapas break at 5pm.
Then at 6.30pm it is party time, and an evening of salsa inspired booty-shaking lies ahead.
And at £8 per ticket it is too good an opportunity to pass up.
Tickets are available from Eden Arts on 01768 899444 libraries and Tourist Information Centres.
l Salsa Celtica, Scotland's South American music sensation are also heading for the region as part of Appleby Extra festival on the weekend of August 3 to 5.
For details contact Appleby Arts.
