THEY may not be small, cute or fluffy but the Hamsters can fairly play guitar.
After three years of absence from Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre the boys are back in town ready to play a full-blown set of powerful blues-rock.
Originally borrowing their name from the Sex Pistols, who called themselves the Hamsters to outwit hostile councils, the band have gone from strength to strength.
Today the group have built up a fan base of thousands with 20,000 on their national mailing list.
Guitarist Slim has been listed alongside luminaries such Eric Clapton, George Harrison and David Gilmour in books on legendary guitarists and the band have performed with the likes of Eric Clapton, Alison Moyet and Doctor Feelgood.
No strangers to the music media, these chaps perform as well on MTV as they do live so catch them at the Brewery tomorrow (Saturday).
Tickets cost £8 or £ 7.
The Hamsters are Slim on guitar and vocals, Rev.
Otis on Drums and Zsa Zsa on bass.
