THE Country Land and Business Association has warned local authorities and landowners that they must act now if they are to control the killer weed ragwort.
Each year horses and other animals die a slow, painful death after being poisoned by the weed which causes irreversible liver damage.
For a guide on ragwort write to the Country Land and Business Association, North West Regional Office, Dalton Hall, Stable Yard, Burton, Carnforth, Lancs, LA6 1NJ.
