Natural stone supplied by Burlington helped The Evening Standard to win a silver gilt medal for its unique show garden at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The Kirkby-in-Furness firm's Broughton Moor stone was used for paving and as part of a water feature.
Joint managing director Malcolm Hatch said the award showed the firm's slate could not only be used as an interior and exterior building material, but could also feature in unique landscapes.
Burlington has also supplied Elterwater green stone for a restoration project at the Ruskin Museum in Coniston, which marks its centenary this year.
