PART of the Lake District's heritage will feature in the next series of The History of Britain following its presenter Simon Schama's recent visite to Grasmere.
Mr Schama arrived in the village via Buttermere, where an episode of the BBC2 programme was filmed in Dove Cottage and a live satellite broadcast to The History Channel was also made.
The episode will cover the period 1750 to 1830, including the eight-and-a-half years when William Wordsworth lived at Dove Cottage.
