NEW look Kendal Town played some good attacking football to earn a 1-1 draw with Queens Park when the Scottish Third Division side visited Parkside for a pre-season friendly on Friday evening.
Very few of last season's players found a place in the starting line up of new manager Mick Hoyle's side, but the new intake, including the experienced Peter Smith and Wayne Maddock in the forwards created many first-half attacking moves which kept the visitors pinned in their own half for long periods.
Mid-way through the second half teenager Chris Pak came on amid a flurry of substitutions and almost immediately put Kendal ahead.
A long and looping through ball seemed to be going harmlessly wide of goal until the speedy park got a foot under it and steered it back across the face of the goal and over the keeper.
Queens Park looked unlikely to get back on terms, but with 10 minutes to go new keeper Lee Ward and long-serving Dave Burrow, both who had played well up to then got in a tangle and the ball ran free for an easily tapped in equaliser.
