LIVE music is once again hitting the streets of Morecambe as the town continues rocking through summer.
Just when you thought the seaside resort had enjoyed its fair share of crowd-pulling events, the Festival of Light and Water makes its comeback for the sixth year, with more than 15 bands lined up this weekend.
To top it off, fireworks will explode over the bay as the finale to two days' entertainment.
Headlining on Saturday night are The Trojans, and The Stars of Ska - The Selecter, The Specials, and The Beat who are guaranteed to get the crowd on their feet with classic Ska hits such as Gangsters, On My Radio and Three Minute Hero.
The Angie Palmer Band, whose namesake has settled in Lancaster, is joining the festival before audiences are taken back to the ' 40s with the Sunday-night star act the Squadronnaires Orchestra.
The festival is part of a series of summer events in Lancaster and Morecambe.
Still to come is Worldbeat Weekend 2001 (August 24-26) and Lancaster Jazz Festival (September 20-23).
