Windermere Parish Council chairman Richard Ogden and a 12-strong group of local business people visited Windermere's twin town.
They took part in celebrations to mark the 675th anniversary of Diessen am Ammersee being granted market rights by King Ludwig der Bayer
A programme of festivities organised over three days included medieval sports, discos, flea market, shooting competition, a garden party and a spectacular fireworks display.
After the parade was over, we all congregated in the festival marquee for typical Bavarian hospitality of beer and fortifying food.
Membership of the twinning association costs £5 per annum and any interested parties should telephone Sheila Rickets on 015394-42309.
