The Lake District is as famous for its changeable weather as the fells and lakes.
Now a factsheet explaining why people can experience all four seasons in a single day has been compiled by the national park authority's education service.
Project manager Cory Jones said the leaflet sought to unravel the mysteries of meteorology in a clear and entertaining way.
