GRATEFUL Rachael Hogg wants people to know of her gold-medal winning performance at this year's Transplant Games because it give her a chance to urge them to join the Donor Card scheme.
Rachael's life changed completely from being a virtual invalid on dialysis to a healthy, normal active woman after she received a kidney transplant 11 years ago.
"You never forget how lucky you are and of the loss of the people to whom the donor was related," said Rachael, who won her third gold medal competing in the adult women's tennis at this year's Games in Leeds.
"It it always a enjoyable day meeting up with people you've met at the Games over the years and to know that they are still healthy and well."
Rachael, aged 33 of Linnet Grove, Kendal, works full time at the Inland Revenue and in her leisure time she teacher aerobics one day a week at Kendal Leisure Centre and and rides her pony Blue.
