Ulverston's main arts and theatre venue is hoping to boost visitor numbers as a result of going on-line.
To bring the Coronation Hall into the 21st century, UK Theatres Online company has designed a dedicated website advertising all the forthcoming events to be held in the Ulverston venue.
The site, which also provides surfers with a history of the Coronation Hall and information about how to book, was officially launched on Wednesday.
In addition to launching the website, a gathering of Ulverston councillors and local dignitaries also marked the introduction of pre-show dining.
Starting on September 28, for the performance of the Jaleo Flamenco group, people attending shows will be able to enjoy a meal in the supper room at the Coronation Hall before it starts and then finish off with dessert at the end of the show.
Within the first month of the Coronation Hall website being launched, it has already received more than 10,000 hits.
Manager at the Coronation Hall Janet Ridal (right) said: "We have done the website and the pre-show dining to bring the venue into the 21st century and in line with what other theatres across the country do.
We are hoping it will increase visitors numbers from the already 150,000 we receive each year and eventually we would like to be able to sell tickets on the internet, but that is just in the pipeline at the moment."
The Coronation Hall website address is www.corohall.co.uk
