RAY Stubbs and his amazing one-man blues band are playing at Kendal's Bootleggers tonight Friday August 18.
Stubbs who is heralded as a "dedicated blues man" from the North East, conjures up the spirit of New Orleans with the help of his gravely voice and an army of instruments.
Mouth organ, drums, guitar, tambourine- you name it, he plays it with aplomb.
The multi-talented Stubbs has crashed-banged, hummed and strummed his way through Europe for the last 25 years, putting out some top-notch tunes by the likes of Bo Diddley, Muddywaters and Howlin' Wolf.
