The final touches are being put to plans for Lancaster's first market festival this August bank holiday weekend.
The event will signal the welcome return to the city centre of the popular Farmers' Market which has been absent for several months due to construction work on the cinema complex.
There will also be a traditional Lancaster Charter Market and a visiting French Market.
Visitors to the festival will also be able to enjoy the three-day Georgian Legacy Festival which starts on Saturday (August 25).
