LEVENS Hall has been shortlisted for an Award for Excellence from the Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
The hall recently completed refurbishment work on the shop, catering and toilet facilities, all in keeping with the surrounding architecture and gardens.
Two judges have been to look round Levens Hall and owners Hal Bagot is delighted to have been nominated.
"I believe there were in the region of 145 entries and only around 30 have been shortlisted so we are all delighted as the work has involved altering old buildings and using local slate and materials," said Mr Bagot.
The work at Levens Hall has already received a national Civic Trust award.
