TOURIST information centre operators throughout Cumbria are to sign up to a new strategy which aims to improve standards across the board.
Centres are run by a variety of bodies, including councils, national park authorities, regional tourist boards and private companies.
The strategy has been drawn up by tourism officers and figures from national park authorities and Cumbria Tourist Board, and aims to ensure that customers receive similar high levels of service whoever the centre is run by.
