OLD northern favourites Shed Seven are making a return journey to the Sugar House this autumn followed by flavour of the month Starsailor.
The two groups are both booked to play at the Lancaster venue in October.
Starsailor have been receiving the sort of critical acclaim that could easily go to a boy's head - they were recently referred to as the best band in Britain in NME magazine - but as their Lancaster booking proves, they are not yet too big for their boots to play a small town gig.
Since their debut track Fever, the group have been touted by the likes of Q Magazine and Radio 1.
What is more refreshing is that these boys from Chorley are not afraid to admit their musical influences are less than hip for your average 20-something.
The group have quoted Van Morrison, Neil Young and Tim Buckley among their personal influences.
Starsailor, aka James Walsh, James Stelfox, Ben Byrne and Barry Westhead, visit the Sugar House as part of their 16-date UK headline tour.
Shed Seven play on October 7, and Starsailor play on October 21.
Tickets are available from The Trading Post, Lancaster University, Reds Caf Bar, Church Street Lancaster or on the credit card hotline 0115 912-9000.
