SCULPTOR Daniel Clahane's latest exhibition netted him £10,000 from a single buyer when Lancashire property developer Gerald Hitman from Old Langho, near Blackburn, bought nine stone sculptures on show in the Brewery Arts Centre's Warehouse Gallery, Kendal.
The sell-out Expressions of Humanity exhibition also sold three pieces on its preview night.
Mr Hitman, who rates Mr Clahane as one of the best stone carvers of his generation, told the Gazette: "I was terribly disappointed that I was unable to attend the private view and that three of the pieces were sold before I managed to get to the show."
