CATCH sight of some seriously sumptuous glasswork and fine impressionist painting at the Colour on Colour exhibition at the Castlegate House Gallery, in Cockermouth.
The exhibition, which closes this Wednesday (August 29), features work from one of the UK's leading hot glass studios, Gillies Jones.
The combined skills of glassblower Stephen Gillies and fine artist Kate Jones result in orbs, plates and vases with stunning sand-carved surface designs.
Caroline Bailey's paintings have what gallery director Chris Wadsworth calls the 'wow' factor.
It took him two years to pin down this sought-after artist for an exhibition.
The gallery is open every day except Thursday from 10.30am to 5pm with a late showing until 7pm on Wednesdays and from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday.
