FIBRE-OPTICS specialists Optech Fibres, of Dalton-in-Furness, have been bought for an undisclosed sum by Black Box, the billion-dollar network services company based in the United States.
Former shipyard workers Dave Carswell and Pat Donohue started Optech eight years ago, and the company now employs more than 25 staff.
Black Box bought Optech as a going concern, and everyone - including managers - is keeping their current positions and benefits.
