Repairs to traditional sash windows in a historic house in Hawkshead can now go ahead thanks to a grant from the Lake District National Park Authority.
The grant of £1,000 to be put towards work on Gilmarver House, Wordsworth Street, was one of twelve small grants awarded each year by the authority to encourage good building conservation.
Authority buildings conservation officer Andrew Lowe, said: "Traditional architecture and historic buildings are as important to the look of the Lake District as the fells and lakes, and we are delighted to see them being cared for and improved."
