ROYAL Windermere Yacht Club members Alastair Rose and David Hynes enjoyed success at the GP14 National Championships at Pwllheli in North Wales.
With Alastair at the helm of the family boat Bumbling Bee and David as crew, the pair finished fifth overall, the best RWYC result in the championships since C.H.D.
Acland won in the early years of the event.
Alastair, who is captain of the Cambridge University SC, counted second, third, sixth, tenth and fourteenth places - good enough to bring home the Junior Trophy.
This was the second time the Windermere pair had competed in the National finishing 20th at their first attempt.
