TRADITIONAL crafts, including the making of corn dollies, lace and hand-weaving, were demonstrated at Farfield Mill Arts and Heritage Centre, near Sedbergh, over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The event was enjoyed by a large number of visitors, but centre manager Chris Cooper said that the foot-and-mouth outbreak was still affecting visitor numbers.
Over the next two weekends, centre visitors will have the chance to learn how to belly-dance.
The art is being demonstrated as part of the centre's current exhibition, 'In the Kasbah,' which also includes art and artifacts from the East and work by local artists whose work shows an Eastern influence.
Belly-dance workshops, for all the family, with the chance to join in a performance, will be held on Sunday, September 2, and September 9, from 1.30-3pm.
