KENDAL shop owner Mark Duckworth, who was told by planners that he could not install metal shutters on his conservation area shop, has been ordered to remove "unsightly" wooden boarding from his windows.
Enforcement action is to be taken against Bargain Booze of Kirkland to remove boards protecting windows after vandalism in July.
Mr Duckworth is appealing against the decision.
