MADE in Cumbria made an impact at the International Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham - an event which attracts around 80,000 buyers from retail outlets.

Seven companies were at the Made in Cumbria stand - among them were Pintail Candles from Flookburgh, which secured several orders for its design led candles, and the Sedbergh studio of Graham Glynn showed its range of sculptures of the female figure.

The Cumbrian gift companies won orders from both home and abroad, including Sweden, Malta, Australia, Italy and Japan.

The Birmingham show is one of six trade events attended by Made in Cumbria throughout the year.
