A PROJECT to develop a new learning room at The Wordsworth Trust's museum,
in Grasmere, has been awarded a £5,000 grant from Cumbria County Council.
Plans involve replacing a dilapidated iron shed opposite Dove Cottage with a room in which schools and groups could learn about Wordsworths' work.
CCC's South Lakeland committee agreed to give £5,000 towards the £84,000 scheme.
Coun Anne Parker said the educational facility would be a welcome addition at the museum, which played an important role in the local economy.
