KENDAL Town took heart from staying unbeaten over the Easter period that they can get something from every match they play, says manager Peter Smith.
Two 1-1 draws against Lincoln United on Saturday and relegation rivals Workington on Monday leave them three points ahead of the latter having played one more match with Stocksbridge and Ossett Albion occupying the two relegation slots below them.
A Kyle Hayton goal after 63 minutes for Town cancelled out Lincoln's 17th-minute goal from Chapman, but it was a much closer call against their Cumbrian neighbours.
Played in a mudbath on the worst day of the Bank Holdiay, Craig Walmsley snatched the valuable point and denied the Reds a victory with an stoppage-time strike.
Town are away to North Ferriby this Saturday, but home supporters can follow their progress against Rossendale United at Parkside on Wednesday (7.30pm).
