THE BBC's Football Focus team was in Ambleside this week filming a feature for a programme which will be shown on the last day of the Premiership season.

The show, presented by Ray Stubbs, will include an interview with leading football photographer Stuart Clarke, who owns the Homes of Football gallery.

He has a new book out in May called More Than A Match, which is a collection of photographs capturing grounds and dramatic footballing moments.

It has been a busy year for Mr Clarke, whose gallery is showing an exhibition of Football In the North West, which is dedicated to clubs in the region such as Liverpool and Manchester United, as well as Cumbrian clubs.

His image of England captain David Beckham leading the team out against Greece in a vital world cup qualifier at Old Trafford is being used as the backdrop to the Manchester United player's model in Madame Tussaud's in London.

The Ambleside episode goes out on Saturday, April 20.
