An animation company based in Kirkby Stephen has won a top award at the British Television Advertising Awards in London.
3 Bear Animations, run by three sisters - Bryony, Cadi and Linnhe Catlow - won Best Commercial For A Household Product and was one of four Dulux paint adverts to win Best Campaign.
The advert, which features four clay characters, one of which has its head pulled off because it is the perfect shade of red for a woman's hallway, was produced after the company, which usually creates adverts for Dulux, was unable to make clay
models.
Linnhe said: " It was amazing to win and we didn't expect it.
We knew that we had been entered and shortlisted for it (the award) and then half forgot about it and so when we first heard we thought 'oh that's really nice.'
"We could not go along to the ceremony as we were working on another job at the time, but we do better if we don't attend them.
There was one in Norwich last year and we decided not to go because it was such a long way and then we won an
award."
Winning the award now means that other people in the industry would know who made the film for the advert and so should boost their profile, she said.
The sisters, who work full time animating, are working on three projects at their studio.
