MILLIONS of people will be feasting their eyes on the Lake District this weekend as a Blind Date duo divulge details of their romantic break away to the nation, reports Nadia Jefferson-Brown.
Following in the footsteps of A-list celebrities, a couple - known only as Tim and Charlotte - escaped to one of Lakeland's hideaway hotels to see if Cupid's arrow would strike.
Cilla Black's Blind Date, which has been running since 1985 and attracts 7.5 million viewers, selected Windermere as one of its weekend 'love nests' for the first time in the series' history.
The show was filmed last September, but will be aired at 7.15pm this Saturday (April 13), offering viewers a taster of Lakeland scenery, activities, hospitality and cuisine.
First-timer to the Lakes Tim, a 22-year-old customer service adviser from Birmingham, and his date Charlotte, a 20-year-old student from Peterborough, stayed at Windermere's The Samling Hotel along with the film crew.
During their visit, they indulged in an action-packed weekend of quad biking, water-skiing and sailing.
