ALARM bells are ringing again for Kendal Town after Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Lincoln United on Saturday in the UniBond League's First division.
Town have gone five matches without a win and slipped into the bottom two with this result.
With four matches left, they face a slugging match to avoid the drop with Stocksbridge Park Steel, who are level on points with Town but have two matches in hand.
There is a four-point gap to the next team above these two in the table, Belper Town.
Lincoln struck through Cooper after 22 minutes and then went 2-0 up through Williams after 69 minutes.
On-loan strike Ian Lunt put Town on the scoresheet but his 90th-minute goal was too late to alter the outcome.
Town travel to Spennymoor on Tuesday, and are at home to Matlock Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
