THE Active Sports programme in Cumbria - funded by £700,000 of lottery money - is launched in South Lakeland at the Lakes School in Windermere on Wednesday.
The money will be used to run coaches sports activities and develop voluntary sports clubs and also train coaches in child projection and disability awareness.
Local primary schools will take part in a sports afternoon after the official launch.
