WHO needs Berlin when you can have cabaret closer to home?
Tonight, (Friday, April 19) singer Sue Parish and guitarist Jon Moore aim to send the rain clouds scuttling when they present Blue Skies Over the Rainbow at Lancaster's Gregson Centre.
The cabaret-style concert will include songs and tunes from some of the greatest names in 20th century jazz.
Expect classics made famous by singers from Ella Fitzgerald to Eva Cassidy, plus contemporary numbers served up with a jazzy twist.
Sue and Jon will share the stage with pianist Vinny Parker, bassist Laurence Canty and drummer Andy Smith, working in a range of formats from stripped-down duo to a grooving five piece ensemble.
Sue said: "We've chosen a programme of our very favourite music, with a strong emphasis on accentuating the positive.
"There might be the odd ballad to vary the pace, but our focus is on making sure that our audience has a cheerful time.
The atmosphere will be intimate and friendly, and the music will be as joyous as we can make it."
Doors open at 8.00pm.
