THE Rossetti Piano Trio will give a recital at the Percival Theatre, St Martin's College, Ambleside, on Thursday, May 2.
The trio, featuring violinist Philippa Jeffery, cellist Nicolas Trygstad and pianist Alice Turner, was formed in 1998 by students at the Royal Northern College of Music.
They are coached by Renna Kellaway and work regularly with the college's director of chamber music Christopher Rowland, and assistant head of strings Roger Bigley.
Two years ago the trio was awarded the Lady Groves Travel Award enabling them to take part in the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition in Indiana.
Last summer they gained the highest diploma in performance awarded by the college.
The programme for the Patrons of the Lake District Summer Music concert in Ambleside features Haydn's Piano Trio in G, Shostakovich's Piano Trio No 2 in E minor Op 67, and Schubert's Piano Trio No 2 in E flat Op 100.
