BIG-WIGS from the European Parliament will visit Kendal on Saturday to hear about the effects of the foot-and-mouth crisis in the county.
The delegation will be led by Spanish MEP Encarnacion Redondo Jimenez.
The meeting at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal will be angled towards investigating the impact of the crisis and its handling on the tourist industry.
Earlier meetings in Longtown and Carlisle will concentrate on the effects of foot-and-mouth on the agriculture sector.
The EU special temporary committee set up to investigate the crisis will sit for 12 month.
Its final report will be made public.
