A PARTY of 13 doctors of different nation-alities, who were either asylum seekers or people who have recently been granted asylum in this country, visited South Lakeland on Saturday.
The Ruskin Museum at Coniston was approached by Anne Candlin of the charity 'Asylum Link' who was keen for her group to see more of the English countryside because until last weekend the group had been confined to its base in Liverpool.
Following a guided tour of the museum, the party spent an hour looking round on their own.
After a picnic lunch by the shores of Coniston Water, members returned to the museum and then went on a guided walk.
