HUNDREDS of ancillary workers at hospitals in Morecambe Bay have "overwhelmingly" rejected the latest pay offer from Morecambe Bay Hospitals NHS Trust of a ten per cent performance agreement and an additional payment for staff who are already on a bonus scheme.
Union leaders said the deal would work out at only £ 16 a week for full-time workers who were already on "low pay".
Hospital bosses said they were very disappointed by the reaction to the "good offer" under which "everybody gains".
Trust bosses will now meet union chiefs for further talks.
