ONE magic moment from Dave Foster was not enough to bring the points Kendal needed if they are to stave off relegation.
Final score was Kendal Town 1, Matlock Town 3.
Foster's clever ball control and shot gave Kendal hope when his 56th minute equalised cancelled out an early goal from Matlock's Noteman, but the dangerous Matlock winger restored his team's lead in the 66th minute and Taylor added a third with almost the last kick of the match.
With two games left Kendal could still escape the drop out of the UniBond League, but it would need the teams above them to self destruct and Town to win both their away match with Ossett Town on Saturday and als9o defeat fellow strugglers Farsley Celtic in the final match of the season on May 3
