DANCES from Around the World was the theme of this year's Janette Leach School of Dance Presentation Show.
Featuring more than 40 routines, the biennial showcase lit up Kendal Town Hall with brilliant costumes and equally colourfully choreography.
From tots to teenagers, the rising young stars performed a mix of exquisite ballet and breath-taking modern dance.
Taking a step up from the 2000 show: Eastern Delights; Tulips from Amsterdam; Maybe I'm a Londoner and One Night in Bangkok, were just some of the entertaining dance sequences on the bill.
Even a few dads unexpectedly got in on the act, donning fez and facial surprise, to move to the exotic melody of the Sand Dance.
Following the evening performance, the young performers took their well-deserved bows and received their individual dance awards gained over the past 12 months.
A lot of hard work for all those involved but a wonderfully rewarding show.
