BARCLAYS Bank is holding its annual Farmers Discussion Evening in conjunction with the NFU at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal, on May 2 at 7.30pm.
Guest speakers for the event are Simon Mead, head of beef strategy at the MLC and Jane James, general manager of the Welsh Meat Company.
The theme for this, the tenth annual meeting, will be "Marketing Together for Survival".
Kendal NFU group secretary Derek Lomax urged farmers to attend the meeting stating: "The whole of farming is back where it was two years ago with the milk price dropping and farmers making no money.
There are number of options for the way forward - hopefully these will come to the fore at this meeting."
All are welcome at the event and there will be refreshments following talks and questions.
