PUPILS from Queen Katherine School, Kendal, enjoyed the opportunity to role-play when they took part in the North West regional final of the Magistrates Court Mock Trial competition held at South Lakeland magistrates court in Kendal.
The team of 12 students, aged between 13 and 14 years-old, competed against a team from Whitehaven, and enjoyed acting the parts of defendants, witnesses, magistrates, clerks and ushers, in two mock trials.
The competition is organised by the Citizenship Fund and aims to show children how magistrates courts function.
