CUMBRIA Fire Service has won an internationally-recognised award for the second year running.
Presented by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, the county brigade scooped the Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award.
Chief fire officer, Michael Elliot, said: "The award acknowledges the commitment towards improving occupational health and safety and the contributions made by all personnel."
The Gold Award is viewed as the ultimate benchmark for excellence.
