COMMUNITY groups and voluntary organisations in Kendal can take advantage of a road show that is coming to town to tell them about a new pot of money available.
The Cumbria Community Foundation has been awarded £180,000 to its Local Network Fund, which means groups are able to claim between £250 and £7,000 each year.
The fund aims to support activities that tackle poverty and disadvantage and assist the activities of those working with those aged 0 to 19.
In the next 12 months, a total of £720,000 is available from the foundation through a number of different grant schemes.
Members of the community are urged to attend a roadshow in Kendal, at Stricklandgate House on Wednesday, May 15, between 1pm and 3pm, where Andy Beeforth, and Clare Edwards will discuss projects for possible funding.
They can be contacted on 01900 825760.
