THE Rheged centre near Penrith has won a court case quashing a planning inspector's decision.
Bosses at the tourist attraction had applied for mixed use development but were turned down by Eden District Council.
They appealed but the appeal was dismissed.
Rob Randell, managing director of Westmorland Ltd, of which Rheged is part, said the High Court had now quashed the planning inspectorate's decision to dismiss the appeal.
Mr Randell said they were now waiting for a response from the secretary of state for environment, food and rural affairs, to decide what should happen next.Rheged made the application to increase its "customer offer" and attract more visitors.
