APPLEBY Castle will be the historic setting for Golden Jubilee celebrations on Monday, June 3.
Plans drawn up so far include children's games, storytelling, magicians, maypole dancing, Morris dancers, market stalls, WI cream teas, a drinks tent, tug of war, ox roast, evening disco and the lighting of the Appleby beacon.
Any money raised will be donated to local good causes.
Anybody with any other ideas to make the festivities memorable is welcome to attend the Town Meeting at 2pm on Saturday, May 11, in the Supper Rooms; or to phone Alice Palmer on 017683-51117.
